2011 the year review in images

A new year has begun, and I hope to fill this year with crossing new horizons and with rising creativity in successful imagery. I'm constantly pushing to reach that next level. Nothing is ever good enough, or at least I can always see room for improvement.
Many thing will be happening this coming year including going to college, and travelling to Europe! It will be an exciting year, a full year.. I have some new ideas, and I hope to fulfill and surpass my own expectations.

let's take a peak back at 2011...

Our little secret

Once again I've compromised an image with a vision I had while listening to music. I think music moves my imagination, as it may with many others. Anyway, there are some specs listed below, as well as the lyrics themselves. Watch the video for on location setup. Enjoy!

The lost art of keeping a secret
~Queens of the Stone Age~

I've got a secret, I cannot say
Blame all the movement to give it away
You've got somethin, I understand
Holding it tightly, caught on command
Leap of faith, do you doubt?
Cut you in, I just cut you out

Whatever you do
Don't tell anyone

Look for reflections, in your face
Canine devotion, time can't erase
Out on the corner, locked in your room
I never believe them and I never assume
Still can't believe there is a lie
Promises promise, an eye for an eye
We've got something to reveal
No one can know how we feel

Whatever you do
Don't tell anyone

I think you already know
How far I'd go not to say
You know the art is gone
And I'm taking this all to the grave..

All I want is... more

I stopped today along my errands run to take a photo I had in mind. I've posted the final image here and on Flickr, along with a video description. (see below)

Something has to change.
Un-deniable dilemma.
Boredom's not a burden
Anyone should bear.

Constant over stimu-lation numbs me
and I wouldn't have
It any other way.

It's not enough.
I need more.
Nothing seems to satisfy.
I don't want it.
I just need it.
To feel, to breathe, to know I'm alive.

Finger deep within the borderline.
Show me that you love me and that we belong together.
Relax, turn around and take my hand.

Jordan

Yesterday was another long day in a series of endless long days. Heavy thunderstorms roamed through the area all day, and I got the inside of my car washed in one early shower incident. Despite the storm factor we had some beautiful intervals of sunshine, and I insisted my client not postpone our shoot in the afternoon.

Jordan, his mother, and I spent a few hours yesterday getting some senior pictures taken. From the streets and alleyways of Main Street Stroudsburg, to a graveyard, and finally ending up at Mountain View Park. We only had to dodge a little bit of drizzle at one point, and overall I think it went very well.

Well, let's just see what you think...

Shane's Hellabalooza Birthday Bash

I have some friends that tend to lean a little towards the dark side, and that's cool because deep down a part of me loves to get in touch with the demons within. Besides that, the under-worlders are much more fun than your average folk..
So my friend Shane threw his birthday party this year with a mandatory demon dress code. Although I swear most of these guys and gals look like this all the time. Shane is a makeup artist in the horror realm, as well as having produced a few short films, and many photographs along with. Visit him on Facebook:

I only shot for a brief period that night, but caught some of the hellions showing their true characters.
Enjoy!

I bet there's a flask inside that book..

First thing I did was make a deal with the Devil..
bastard burned me though...
